MiaCara presents a contemporary twist on a timeless classic with the new Lucca collection of modern rope dog collars and leads.
This ever-popular and much-copied style originated in Italy in the 80’s. Now re-imagined by the design team at MiaCara, the Lucca collection uses only the finest materials to ensure the ultimate in style and durability.
The Lucca rope collar and lead are handcrafted from heathered braided waxed cotton, natural, un-split, full-grain cowhide leather and satin plated full-brass hook – all made in Italy.
Each collar and lead comes in a signature MiaCara drawstring bag.

Leather
For this collar MiaCara uses only natural full grain leather, which is produced environmentally friendly in a vegetal tanning process. The pores are not sealed, so that the leather retains its natural characteristics. This also means that the material over time develops a vibrant patina – the original color may change and darken. This creates a vintage look, which makes your MiaCara collar a one of a kind dog collar.
Hardware
Buckles and D-rings: matte, brushed stainless steel
Leather is a natural product with individual character and variations. The natural features are an indication of the authenticity of the leather and have no influence on its life or quality. Slight deviations with regard to surface texture and colour are normal.
The metal hardware used for our dog collars and leads is solid surface coated. Mechanical friction between the D-ring and snap hook over time may result in some signs of wear on the surface. This is normal and does not constitute a reason for complaint.
To remove dirt and stains, use a soft damp cloth. Please avoid excessive rubbing.
In order to maintain the good condition of your MiaCara product as long as possible, please pay attention to proper care. In particular dog collars are especially strained by everyday use. Therefore, please consider the following care instructions:
Please grease the leather parts from time to time. For that we recommend Tapir leather fat (www.tapir.de). Please take note of the manufacturer’s instructions for use. Depending on use, you should repeat this at regular intervals. This way the leather will stay supple and durable.
The rope is made from 100% waxed cotton and can be hand washed.
